The Megaro Gyzi Festival 2010 will take place from August 1st to August 23rd 2010. It is a Festival of various cultural events including six music concerts, one group painting and engraving exhibition and one  puppet-theater performance, under the artistic direction of Yannis Papaconstantinou.

MEGARO GYZI MUSEUM
The Megaro Gyzi Museum re-opened on May 3rd, 2010.

The Museum΄s six Permanent Collections are again available to its numerous friends and visitors.

It will be daily (except Sunday) open, from 10am to 4pm, until October 30th, 2010.

EUROPEAN MUSIC DAY IN MEGARO GYZI (20/6/2009)
The Cultural Centre MEGARO GYZI presents on Saturday 20th of June 2009 the Santorinian artists Konstantinos Pelekanos and Christoforos Gavalas, together with their guests-artists, in a concert of Greek entechni (art) music with songs of well-known Greek composers.

With this concert Megaro Gyzi, and Santorini in general, participates officially for 2nd continuous year in the events that are organized all over Europe for the European Music Day between 19-21 June, on the occasion of celebrations of the World Music Day on 21st of June, through the exclusive representation of the Greek network of M.E.S.O. Music Events in Greece.

MEGARO GYZI NEW EDITION
The Cultural Centre "Megaro Gyzi" has published its new edition of 216 pages entitled "Santorini - Engravings and Drawings by Greek Artists". This bilingual edition, in greek and english, includes 212 engravings and drawings by 50 Greek artists from 1866 to 2007 with Santorini as theme.

THE GREENWICH ACADEMY MADRIGAL SINGERS AT "MEGARO GYZI"
The Cultural Centre “Megaro Gyzi” at Fira, Santorini presents on Friday 20th of June 2008 the American treble choir Greenwich Academy Madrigal Singers, participating in the events that are organized all over Europe for the “European Music Day” on 21st of June, through the exclusive representation of the Greek network of M.E.S.O. Music Events in Greece.

The entrance is free for the public.

PHOTO EXHIBITION "SANTORINI PHOTOGRAPHED BY ARIELLE DAUSSY"
The opening of the photo exhibition “Santorini photographed by Arielle Daussy” will take place on Saturday July 5th, 2008, 8:30 pm, at the Cultural Center “Megaro Gyzi” in Fira, Santorini.

PRESERVATION OF EXHIBITS
From December 2006 until April 2007 a complete program of preventive conservation of the engravings and manuscripts of ¨Megaro Gyzi¨Museum has been put in practice from a special art conservation team, under the supervision of the Museologist and Conservator of Art Work Mrs Eliza Polychroniadou.
