The International Association of Art "The Muse" has been hosting the International Piano Competition since 2005, which takes place on one of the most beautiful islands in Greece - SANTORINI. The first five international piano competitions caught immediate attention of young musicians around the world. They came to Santorini to show their talents and artistic abilities, to receive recognition from the jury members and the audience alike. Everyone involved with the competition, whether they were participants, jury members, organizers or audience, felt and enjoyed a friendly but still competitive atmosphere.
It was a festival of music and friendship! More than 140 pianists, representing European Union, Russia, USA, Japan, Korea, among other countries, have taken part in the competition during these last five years. We are glad to acknowledge that many of them have now become successful performers and can be heard on concert stages around the world.

The International Association of Art "The Muse" will organize this year
from 3rd to 7th September 2013, for the fourth year, the
international competition for young musicians
"The Muse Junior" 2013. It will be open to participants, musicians until 18 years old from around the world, in categories of
piano, violin, viola, cello, wind instruments and chamber music ensembles and shall be concluded in one round, separately for four age groups, namely
Category A΄ (until 7 years old),
Category B΄ (8-11 years old),
Category C΄ (12-15 years old) and
Category D΄ (16-18 years old). This year the category
"Chamber Music" is added for ensembles of up to six musicians until 25 years old. We sincerely believe that this music event shall discover new talents and aid in their future artistic development.
The
International Competition "The Muse Junior" 2013 will be hosted at the Concert Hall of the
Cultural Centre Megaro Gyzi in Fira - Santorini. The mansion "Megaro Gyzi", a beautiful combination of architectural style of the island and barocco, was built in the 17th century. It has been recently restored and given new uses to make it a significant part of the cultural life of the island.
Every summer Megaro Gyzi hosts its own Festival of cultural events including music concerts, theatrical performances, art exhibitions, and from 2005 - the International Competition "The Muse"!
"Based on the enthusiastic reviews and personal opinions we hope to see the competition prosper and progress for years to come'" adds the President of "The Muse"
Dr. Alexis Miroshnikov.
