Photographic Pairs features the work of two photographers, both members of the “Photography Circle”, whose paths in life or photography cross.
Platon Rivellis, photo critic and founder of the "Photography Circle", is curator of the exhibition series.
The two photographers Anthi Mara and Panagiotis Markolefas at the Cultural Center “ Megaron Gyzi”, share a personal relationship which began when they were introduced while participating at the “Circle”. The juxtaposition (and contradistinction) of their work is very interesting.

About “Photography Circle”
Photography Circle is a non-profit cultural society that has operated in Athens since 1988. Platon Rivellis is the founder and president of the "Circle". Rivellis is himself a photographer, a teacher of the art of photography and a writer of theoretical books on photography.
Photography Circle has, to this day, about 250 active members whose membership fees ensure the financial independence of the Society. Periodically, the Society has received grants from the Ministry of Culture and from private institutions. The aims of the “Circle” are to promote the art of photography, the creation of an educated audience for photography, the creative development of the members and the support of their creative work.
